Secondary Principal
Dima AlZuhair is the Principal of Secondary at Al Maaref American School in Dubai. She believes that education is not only about academic achievement but also about shaping character, fostering inclusion, and preparing students to thrive in a global society while remaining rooted in their values.
With over 20 years in international education, Dima brings extensive experience across teaching, curriculum development, and school leadership. She is certified as both a COGNIA and NEASC visitor, contributing to school improvement and accreditation processes in schools around the world. Her work is informed by deep knowledge of both the UAE Ministry of Education framework and international standards.
Throughout her career, Dima has led initiatives to enhance teaching quality, create safe and inclusive learning environments, and provide students with opportunities for academic challenge and personal growth. She works closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure every learner feels supported, valued, and prepared for the future.
Outside her formal role, Dima is a strong advocate for professional collaboration and lifelong learning, believing that the best schools are built on trust, shared purpose, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
